Bullet Catcher Wade Cordell has been sent to the Caribbean to track down a woman who was adopted at birth. Her birth mother is in prison for murder and needs a bone marrow transplant. There is reason to believe she was set up and didn't commit the murder in which she was convicted. Vanessa Porter knows who her mother is and has no plans to help her. She's too busy anyway. Book Two of the Then You ... trilogy is really a great mystery/suspense that has you guessing right up to the end. The romance between prickly Vanessa and easy going Wade is a study in getting below the surface that a person presents and a very hot one too. This is a great book with many twists and turns and an ending that is rather surprising.

Fast paced and exciting - definitely one of the best in the series.

Vanessa initially comes across as hard and abrasive but it quickly becomes clear that she is loyal to a fault and her cool facade is really a defense mechanism concealing her fear of being hurt and losing someone she loves.
