Well, on the bright side, I no longer hate George R.R. Martin. I will now say, however, that the man is, without question, a sick f***.

As much as I hated Martin at times, I can say without reservation that I absolutely loved this book -- probably the most of the first three. (kmusser, I hope that I love the next two even more, but I know that this is a very difficult standard to match!) And divalion, I was already loving Daenerys after Book 2; after Book 3 ... I don't think there's a word for ho ...more

I can't say enough about this series. I think I like this one the best of all so far. It was a book that you just couldn't put down and when it ended, you wanted to pick up the next one to see what happened next. Things are not always what they seem and I think this is the part that intrigues me the most. Just when you hate someone so much, you begin to see the good side even though they are probably evil. Characters you hated in the beginning you suddenly seem to grow fond of or they do somethi ...more
