Harry Bosch is a homicide detective whose star within the ranks of the LAPD has risen and fallen. He's a prickly loner but he's smart and tenacious and that helps him to be very, very good at his job. And when a face from some of the darker moments of his past shows up dead on his watch, he's like a hound on the scent.

I enjoyed this first Harry Bosch novel very much. It was a well-plotted story with lots of twists and turns that keeps you guessing until the end. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

First in Harry Bosch series. This involved Harry trying to find out why an old tunnel rat from Viet Nam was murdered and what he had to do with a bank robbery. It also involved a couple of FBI agents that were leading the bank robbery investigation that were dirty. Very good.

A great book! Had me guessing to the very end. This is one book that I couldn't figure out who done it before the end of the book. Can't wait to read the rest in the series.
