Short Review:
There was so much hype around this book, and to a point, i can see why but it didn't live up to that hype for me.
First, this book is told from a crap ton of POVs and i loved that. Only issue, the year or month would change from chapter to chapter, i tried to keep up with that, but i failed and it all kinda blended together.
Second, i was hoping for a better ending, it was nice, but wayy too neat for my liking. I won't spoiler.

I loved this book. It was a great read. The descriptions of the circus and all the tents made me feel like I was there. I felt so bad for Celia and Marco. How awful to find love and find out how your story is supposed to end. It was so unfair they were not given the choice to decide if they wanted to be involved in the game. I am glad it ended well for them in the end. I hope that Poppet and Bailey get their happily ever after too because you can see the love between them. Overall I loved this b

Saved $10 because I Snagged @ the Library!
What a strange but marvelous book! Reminds me a lot of the The Magician series by Lev Grossman (although this one was written first, I think). The descriptions are exquisite. The plot is original. The characters are completely compelling. And "creative" doesn't begin to describe the scenes and scenery.
The story is told in the present tense, which I thought would annoy me completely. But it is consistent, and the story draws you in so much that you cease ...more
