An apocalyptic story about a possible end to the world as we know it, with some atypical main characters that are unique in their personal flaws, ambivalence and triumphs. The story is told through the perspective of Jake, a young athletic guy who is caught up in the trivial superficiality of the postmodern world, but transforms into a more likable and compassionate character by the end of the story. A tale of frenzied survival after the demise of today's corrupt and unsustainable civilization.
