Alana is from Landfall, the largest planet in the galaxy, and Marko is from its moon, Wreath. Landfall and Wreath’s ongoing war has spread far out into the galaxy and, because they’re on opposing sides in this war, they were never supposed to fall in love. Stunning artwork, wild imagination, serious themes, strong romantic thread - yet it was not for me.

I remember loving comic strips and graphic novels in my childhood and teens. After hearing A LOT of gushing about this particular example, I thought to give it it try and am now sadly aware that I just don't connect with this medium any more. Found my attention constantly wandering and needed to repeatedly yank myself back into the narrative.

This is beautiful and there is quite a bit of the reality of living with a baby in there along with the warring fantasy and sci-fi elements. I will definitely be checking out further volumes when my library gets them in.
