I live in Frankfurt and everyday on the way to work I pass the grungy apartment building where Oskar Schindler lived for about 10 years in the 60's and 70's. There's a plaque on the building with his likeness, and I find it oddly and sadly appropriate that the street is populated by homeless people who drag their matresses and shopping carts in every evening.
