I live in Frankfurt and everyday on the way to work I pass the grungy apartment building where Oskar Schindler lived for about 10 years in the 60's and 70's. There's a plaque on the building with his likeness, and I find it oddly and sadly appropriate that the street is populated by homeless people who drag their matresses and shopping carts in every evening.

Heroic story, true though surely embellished with diaglogue and details, but still rooted in real history. Very moving and worth the while
