What Members Thought
Fantastic! In every sense of the word!
I enjoyed many parts of this book and the writing was excellent, but I didn’t enjoy the whole package. Part three was where it lost me. I just felt that the realism part of magical realism go stretched a little too thin and I couldn’t feel as strong a link to the story. I loved the feminism and Fevvers and her wings and the relationship between her and her foster mother. Perhaps if I had read it when it was first published, I would have been more enchanted.
