I can't quite put my finger on why, but I SO enjoyed this book! I was hesitant to approach Hemingway since his writing style is often the target of criticism, but I was relieved not to feel bogged down by elaborate descriptions and appreciated the simplicity. It allowed me to focus on the story - the big picture.
