Phew! The pace was a little slow for my taste; Dickens is so verbose and the characters so over the top that it is exhausting to read his work. And it was pretty graphic, too, which I wasn't expecting. But THAT ENDING!? SO good. I'd give it 3.5 stars but rounding down for Goodreads because I can't bring myself to give it 4. ...more
