Fantastic. A sort of dark comedy that gives insight into another form of bullying - that of the 'friends' who use and abuse, which the victim ignores because they just want to be accepted and have friends.

The whole premise of this book is so dark and disturbing that it's difficult to explain how normal it seems while reading, and how caught up you get in Butter's predicament. The scene where Butter earns his nickname is one of the most shocking scenes of the book, but also a very important one f

Amazing. I really don't know what else to say. So often, while reading this novel, I found myself in need of closing it for a moment and just think. That's how powerful it is. ...more

**3.5 STARS.

This was a good novel, and I do think that it's good at delivering its message. However, while I recognise and respect things and in some ways I liked this, I ultimately didn't like the experience of reading this. I loved this book,I couldn't put it down and finished it within a day. The writing style is fantastic and the subject matter is captivating and unique. The main focus of the book is Butter's quest for acceptance and friendship, but the most fascinating and emotive relationship for me was between him and his father.
I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read more from Erin Jade Lange.

Very good read. Was a bit confusing at times and the ending was pretty predictable so I gave it a 4/5 stars.

Quite a morbid read, that was easy to flow through. The writing was interesting that it kept me reading for long periods of time. But I was not fully satisfied with this read. I much preferred 'Dead Ends' by the author but the writing was done very well, that I became emotionally involved.
I look forward to reading more books by this author. 3.5 stars
