This book has been with me for such a long time and I finally finished it. Finally. I even made a review for it. Disclaimer: This is my first review so bear with me.

First things first, the concept is pure genius. Turning the childhood classic tale of Cinderella into a modern-age, futuristic story that not just young teens might enjoy, but by everyone, too. Putting that big of a twist on such a simple story, Marissa Meyer definitely did a great job. Can’t wait to read the other retellings she did This book has been with me for such a long time and I finally finished it. Finally. I even made a review for it. Putting that big of a twist on such a simple story, Marissa Meyer definitely did a great job. Can’t wait to read the other retellings she did.

In a small attempt to sum this up, this book includes: cyborgs; robot BFFs; people from the moon with mind-controlling powers; a missing princess (who was believed to be dead); “the plague” causing quite a number of deaths; a doctor who you don’t think he is; an adoptive family which I dislike (except for Peony and Iko); a getaway car; a handsome prince (soon-to-be-emperor) that every girl seems to have crush on (even Cinder because why not?) and his advisor; “stars”; a secret that will probably twist the whole story (but you kinda saw it coming). And so much more. (You’ll know if you read the book.)

Wow what can I say?! This is an excellent book, I quite enjoyed it. Who would of though the tale of Cinderella and science fiction would go together but it really worked. I found it very hard to stop reading but whenever I had a spare moment I'd read again. I guessed at the start of the book who Cinder really was but I didn't actually think I was right!
I'll definitely be reading the next book in the series, I'd love to find out if she escapes the evil queen or not. I really do hope her and Kai g ...more

Why are "humans" so terrified and disgusted by cyborgs? I don't get it.

Can anyone tell me in which part/chapter/page show any room for development of "feelings" that Cinder and Kai share? I feel that Kai was too busy with the Queen Levana problem to even develop those feelings for Cinder. then all of a sudden POOF . He says he has feelings for her. Idk man. Idk. I feel like the "romance" was just done for the sake that the prin
