Still awesome!
In some ways I feel that Cline wrote this book for me. No, I'm not a huge gamer, never was. But I am a child of the 80's (sadly my actual teen years were in the early 90's which only gave us acid wash jeans and grunge), and reading a book so rich with 80's references was amazing! I thought i was going to finish this in 3 days time, but i had difficulty getting through the story in the first place because i had never read anything like this before, it's a virtual and cyber space action,suspense and mystery fiction with a little bit of romance, i should say. I gave the book 3 stars but I think it may be unfair of me. I don’t usually read this kind of genre and I did like the book it’s just that it was maybe too descriptive if that makes sense. I have seen the movie trailers on tv and this may be the only time I ever say the movie looks better than the book 😬
Listened to on Audible while it was an enjoyable listen and Will Weaton did a wonderful job bringing the story to life. I found the book was quite long filled with alot of information, lots of facts about the 80's almost to many facts. The amount of facts seemed to slowdown the pace of the story.
