This is a nice, light-hearted mystery. The protagonist is the incorrigible 11-year-old Flavia de Luce. She is a 51-year-old stuck in an 11-year-old's body. Flavia studies chemistry for fun and applies her skills to torture her two older sisters. The oldest, Ophelia, is infatuated by her own beauty, and the middle, Daphne, always has her nose in a book. This was a delightful mystery. Main character is a precocious, funny, intelligent 11 year old named Flavia who solves the mystery of who murdered a man found in her family's cucumber patch. Flavia's father gets accused, but she figures out the real killer. Flavia is a stitch. ...more
