This was definitely an epic and took me a long time to read. Much like in Demon Copperhead, Kingsolver's use of voice is incredible. All of the narrator's voices are very distinct and interesting. And the history was one I knew very little about, and I found it both really fascinating and really depressing.
I can see why so many people love this book, and I really enjoyed it and think it is worth the read. You just need to be ready for a long, sprawling story. ...more
