But they don't want money for the rent, they want, in return, to study. She calls and finds out that she would be the one he would be studying. Lucian Bane introduces us to Modercai, smart, focused and a bit unusual. Under the guise of completing his psychological thesis he welcomes a young woman to live in his home to study the human condition.
As Miriam is tasked with having to complete her thesis as well, the arrangement seems too good to be true. When they sit down and lay their plans out on the line it becomes apparent that diving into the psyche of a psychopath may be more than what Miriam bargained for.

Miriam needs a place to stay and ends up living with Mordecai. In the add, it said he wanted someone to help with his studies but planned to use her for a psychology experiment. Miriam has some theories of her own. Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, intense chemistry and steam. An entertaining fast-paced read.
