What Members Thought
I wanted to love this because I loved The Vanishers so much. And it's not to say I didn't. Her prose is so delicious to read that this book could've been about nearly anything and I would've enjoyed reading it. The story was interesting, although I wish I'd read this before reading The Vanishers, since "Enchantments" is a downshift from The Vanisher's psychic battle. Still, Enchantments isn't without its fair share of twists, mysteries, and dropped bombs. Julavits takes the crushing ordinariness
