Reading "part one" of the book has mainly consisted of me turning pages back with confused look on my face, trying to figure out who is that character they just mentioned, was he mentioned before? What are they talking about? Wait, what year is this set in? Did I skip a page and missed some crucial information? What is happening? Oo I know him!-he was mentioned few pages back. Yes! I'm finally starting to... WHO, THE HELL, IS THAT NOW!?

What an excellent read; intriguing with a satisfying end. Not a genre I'm generally interested in, but the story flows so well and the characters are so expertly developed that you just get drawn right in. Who could possibly not adore George Smiley? Wonderful. ...more
