Pride and Prejudice Jane Austen's most famous novel, the story of a man with five unmarried but attractive daughters, from the oldest to youngest Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine and Lydia 15, in Regency England, during the unending Napoleonic Wars. This book shows that the best laid plans of Mr. and Mrs. Bennet gang aft agley, but that doesn't stop Mrs. B. from trying to snag the best (or only) available sons-in-law for her brood of husbandless daughters. Just finished it today. I admit I only started to read this because I now want to follow it up immediately with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. But I found it did keep my interest and I look forward to also now watching one of the many movie adaptations. Any suggestions on the best ones would be welcome, there are so many movie adaptations!

3 stars: Good, but I probably wouldn't read again.

I knew the basic storyline because I have seen the movie with Kiera Knightley in it. I liked the movie, so I figured I might like the book even though I rarely read (or like) romance novels. Basi

This is my favorite Jane Austen novel (so far) as I am sure it is for a lot of other women out there. While reading this novel, you cannot help but get entangled in the hatred, passion, and romance that transpires. This is one book that I will re-read one a year at least.
