I wanted to approach this book knowing nothing about it so that I could be fully surprised. But I forgot to relay that very important bit of information to my husband before telling him that I started reading it. He proceeded to say, "Oh that is the story where (view spoiler)

If i could describe this magnificent book in one word, it would be "wow".

Slow to start, but really, really good when it finally reaches the end of the first part. Alternating the points of views was a great idea, and it's well executed.

We are simply presented with everything in the story. No real secrets, no interesting twists, only characters that are complete hysterical assholes. Okay, it is perfectly fine to use bad people for a story but it just didn't seem to make any sense. It felt like an absurd, bizarre soap opera.
I don't hate it, I just don't get the hype. ...more
