Watching for the first time the movie. Freaking reality. So hard as Réquiem for a Dream.
Good Lord what an awful book. I mean it took me twice as long to read it because it is in fucking dialect or informal speech or whatever and the characters were all so awful. Except for Spud. Poor Spud.
Another highly annoying quality to this was that each character had a million nicknames so you never knew who was who. Out of nowhere, they would include characters only to never speak of them again.
