On the whole, I quite liked The Lovely Bones. Alice Sebold's writing style is pretty simple and straightforward, which appeals to me. Sometimes I just want to be told a story without having to think about it for a week after I'm done to decipher all the meanings. That's not to say that I don't enjoy doing that sometimes, too, and you certainly can do that with this book since it's such a powerful story. It's just that you don't have to if you don't want to.

Haunting--wasn't exactly what I expected and at the same time, not terribly surprising. Overall, an enjoyable read. I'm not a terribly fast reader, but finished this in just under 2 days, working a 12-hr shift in between.

Loved it! I loved the Ray! The other book she did afterwards seems too violent for anyone though. It's not the same book.

Scary and eerie but still really good! The murderer still gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about him!
