Anne of Avonlea is charming and sweet with a gentle sense of humor to suit most tastes.
It is not as good as the first but it comes very close. I believe it lacked a little romance eventhough the description on Goodreads suggets that there is romance between Anne and a wealthy man. Perhaps it was describing the next book.

I think that was my last Anne book -- it took a while to get into -- but I enjoyed it. She is plucky for sure.
