This book is fantastic, and despite it's size, it is reasonably easy to read with some absolutely delightful lines filled with wit, humour and honesty. I would recommend it to any high school aged girl, and am disappointed that I did not read this book when I was around the age of 16.
The story is narrated through the journal of Cassandra, who captures the castle she lives in, along with her family, throughout the story.

This is one of the most amazing YA novels I had read when I was 14, back when there was no YA fiction section.
