oh man...FINALLY a strong lead female character! Sarai is amazing. no joke. Sarai and Victor together is a match made in book heaven. Loved this book- and the rest of the series.

Victor is definitely in the lead to be the ultimate book boyfriend...

5 Victor Faust Loving Stars!

Wow! I think I have a new series to add to my favourites list. Killing Sarai is the first book in J.A Redmerski's - In the company of Killers Series . Coming off the back of reading Darhowers, Monster in his Eyes Series this book had some high standards to live up to and it definitely did. This book ticked all the boxes. Packed with drama, action, suspense, romance and lust it was highly addictive.

OMG. This book was A-FUCK-MAZING.

Let's start about the book in general and then get to my favourite nitty gritty characters ever.(well right now anyway) Honestly, I was iffy about this book considering I thought it was going to be a thrilling car chase and epic love story but my friends that just wasn't the case. This book was smart it was clever and honestly it was realistic with the CHARACTERS. Since not everything in a book can be realistic otherwise it would either be boring or just bloody c OMG. This book was A-FUCK-MAZING.

Let's start about the book in general and then get to my favourite nitty gritty characters ever.(well right now anyway) Honestly, I was iffy about this book considering I thought it was going to be a thrilling car chase and epic love story but my friends that just wasn't the case. This book was smart it was clever and honestly it was realistic with the CHARACTERS. Since not everything in a book can be realistic otherwise it would either be boring or just bloody cut-your-wrist morbid, which trust me is not that fun to read, it's just uncomfortable. However the emotions and instincts of the characters made the story feel real.

Let's start with Sarai: FYI loved the name. We seemed to skip the tragic realisation that she has gone through horrifying events and was locked up in a compound for 9 YEARS!!!!! Personally I actually liked this. I liked that she put her shit too the side and saved herself. The author did an amazing job of making Sarai independent but vulnerable considering she's physically a grown women but socially she's a baby.

Where as with Victor we see from Sarai's POV he's cold and ruthless in the beginning but as we look into his POV he's actually quite humane and compassionate, with a thousand conflicting thoughts and feelings (it's a bloody WAR ZONE in there) yet hides it expertly behind a facade of a cold killer.

This is the spoiler guys and my personal blunt conclusion that they're both psychopath's but only because of the circumstances they've been place in and if their situations had been different they could have been two very openly loving people.That is why you feel for them and not for Arthur (I agree with Sarai that he is a bloody bastard, am I right?!) as they are two completely different evils one necessary and the other not so much.

P.S. God this is long sorry, but I loved how Redmerski didn't make them fall in love but didn't make it meaningless either and shows that intimacy is still available to those who are not in love. YET.(hopefully) ...more

By far the best book I've ever read. It was a little lighter on the romance aspect, but it was still there and got pretty steamy a few times. The plot was so thick and well thought out, I could never predict where it would go. I feel like there were two plots to the story. Getting Sarai out of the compound that she was captured in, and if she wanted to become a hit woman like Victor.
The character progression was good (although at some point in the middle, I felt as though there was a bit of a l By far the best book I've ever read. Sarai was the only female lead in a romance novel that I didn't hate. She was always strong with the occasional bit of fear, and she never did anything stupid. A few times she did things that made you go "NOOOO" but it wasn't the same kind of I-want-to-slap-her-across-the-face kind of thing that I've found with other books. Victor became a little softer, but he never did a 180. He was always true to his character. While I'd like to see him soften a bit more in the next book, his character was pretty much perfect through the entire book. There were times where he appeared heartless, but you realized he was doing it for Sarai's own well being.
I can usually predict a book very easily. This had me guessing at all times. The title is very apt, since in one late they look totally safe, and the next a gun is pointed to her head. I truly didn't know what would happen at all. You really can't trust anyone.
I have tons of respect for the author. She was not afraid to write about death and killing characters off, and she didn't feel pressured into giving it a happily ever after. He ending I found was a little unfulfilling. It ended on a major cliffhanger, and things didn't totally get resolved with Victor. It's certainly not a deterrent rom reading the book, but it's important to know so you have book two in your hands immediately after this.
It's not a new adult romance. It's mostly suspense, but the romance element is very crucial to the storyline. For the exception of a few awkwardly worded sentences, this book is perfection. Definitely a must read.

The question is: why did I wait so long before diving in this book???

I don't know why but it just clicked. Like an evidence. It was my first book by JA Redmerski and I found in her a new favorite author.
