Well I've known about this book for years now... and I've known the first lines and the last lines... but I didn't know about the middle bits. It turns out that the two cities are Paris and London, though most of the story takes place in Paris. How apropos, considering my new home and all the French literature I've been reading.

No doubt being a global most&best reading.
wherever and whenever its the human self that is always the matter! ,we all came from the same origin so we are deeply connected through ages -strangely- in our faults ,in our mistakes and even scandals!..happening word by word. the novel demonstrating the soul of the french society within a period of about 10 years during the uprising of the revolution -more spotting the social thoughts and beliefs and how citizens reacted ,than the political situation ...more

I started this book on the plane ride to Oregon, and I love it. Dickens is so fun when you aren't reading him for a class and can actually enjoy the story and the prose. I have so much fun every time I pick it up.
