What Members Thought

Well... I thought I would not even finish this book when I learned that it had a 12 year old protagonist. Harry Potter anyone? Anyway, I plowed in and found it to be a bit more fun to read that I expected. It's young adult literature for sure, but the 'power' of our titular hero is his intelligence. That's a good message for the kids. The backdrop is a future, and not dystopian one, where elves and faeries and goblins live on the earth, and deal with us and our technology daily. For what it is,

This was an enjoyable, fast read. There were obvious YA slapstick moments, though, which got less funny as it went on. But, that's YA for you. Still worth a read - it's lots of fun.
