It is quite a long time since I read this novel but I remember that it had great humour and some excellent inventive words.

The giants' language was so fun, and Dahl's faith in the Queen to listen to the BFG and sort things out is touching. It would be easy to say this story is about anything you like- I'm trying to decide what it's a metaphor for. ...more
