I have just read the rollercoaster that is Captive in the Dark, and have been left anxiously awaiting the next one. This was a fantastic look at the darker side of human nature and emotions. The author does a fantastic job making you route for the main characters and their potenital non-traditional at best, relationship. 2 stars - NOT because of the dark content. I usually enjoy the darker reads. Obviously, I am in the minority, but I wanted to make sure people did not think I gave it a poor rating simply because of the dark content. That would feel unfair, so I am doing the rare thing and posting.

Hmmm..

I love dark stories.. no, let me make myself clear. I LOVE well-written, intense, captivating dark stories.

And for me unfortunately that wasn't one of them. I actually almost gave up on it once or twice. Only a couple of times I found myself "hooked". But really, again, this isn't impressive for me. :(
