If you're interested in reading a well-told tale set during the Nazis takeover of Europe during WWII, you would be well-served to read this book.Switching between the audiobook and the ebook, I was able to finish this because it's a long book and I wanted to be sure that I was finished prior to my book group's meeting next week. I was totally engrossed in this sweeping saga of Hungarian Jews during World War II. The story of Andras Levi, a young architecture student and Klara Hazs, the woman he loves.
It's a long book but it's very well-written and a powerful story. Some of it is difficult to get through. Still unbelievable that people could be so horrible to other people because they are considered different.

Very interesting story of Hungarian's involvement in WW2. It's long, the paperback is 750 pages, but it was worth the effort.
