I read this book in one day! The story is gripping and a true page turner. In this story, 2 little girls, who are best friends, are discovered to be missing on the same day. One of the girls, Calli, is a selective mute, which is an integral part of the story. Each chapter is told from a different perspective (Calli's, her brother's, Petra - the other missing child, Calli's mother, Petra's father, and the deputy sheriff). Excellent book! ...more

I would give this book 4 1/2 stars. I liked how it was written from several points of view. I liked how all the pieces eventually fit together in the end, but you knew what each of the pieces were from reading from each different point of view. The story was also very engrossing; I couldn't put the book down. The issue of marital abuse would be an interesting discussion. ...more
