I loved "A Long Long Way" so much that as soon as this novel came out, I wanted to read it. When it was shortlisted for the Booker Prize, I was more excited to read it. So far it is quite different from the Barry novels (I also read the other 2), but I do like it. Two points of view so far, lots of flashbacks, including Irish historical events as setting.
