I got sucked into this book right away--it may not be for everyone, but Zaslow has a nice writing style; I always enjoyed his columns in the Wall Street Journal, bringing some life into the business news on the other pages.

This was such a joy to read. These 11 women are such a rarity in our world. Their story made me laugh out loud on one page and the next I was reading through tears. It made me reflect on my relationships with girlfriends from my past and present. It made me think about my life as a wife and a mom. I have so many pages turned over so I could go back to them as I am struggling with my parents, with my husband, with my children. There were pages and pages of wisdom and things I want to remember.

While I am not a fan of psychology-based books, this story blended the tales of the lives of 11 girls/women with research on the positive impacts of friendships.
I enjoyed the different relationships and found it amazing that so many girls/women could keep their friendship going for so long.
Anyone that has had lifetime friends will appreciate reading this book.
