Ms. Jackson, author of "Backseat Saints," is just a wonderful writer. What I liked about this one was her ability to just grab me from the beginning and pull me into her world of ghostly, backwoodsish, mysterious life in "normal" America. Jackson writes about misfits, and I, being one myself, love misfits!! She gets their insights, their quirks to the letter, their language and their "ways."
