All I can say is "finally"! I tried so hard just to get through this book. Being set in medieval times and being about foreniscs, it is book that I should have loved. But it felt very stagnant. I think I expected more action and traveling around by the characters. Instead, they were literally snowed in a tiny convent town. Just reading it made me feel claustrophobic and cold! I guess I never identified with any of the characters, either.

Another enjoyable medieval mystery with the mistress of the art of death. The story kept me guessing until the end. I enjoyed the character of Eleanor of Aquitaine, both she and Adeilia are women ahead of their time. And Henry II is a man ahead of his. I look forward to the next in the series.
