What Members Thought

This is a book that I read for my book group's meeting next week. When it was proposed for the list at our meeting last month, I was able to support it because I had seen it mentioned on so many lists and had already been offered it for reading by a friend. The good thing is that although I had heard a lot of buzz about it, I didn't know much about the story except for the fact that it revolved around the life of architect Frank Lloyd Wright and a love affair he had.

Loving Frank is a wellwritten historic novel about two selfish and self-centered people, one of whom was Frank Lloyd Wright. But, as I continued to plug through the book, I found myself enjoying it again. The last 50 pages are unexpected and left me saddened with realizing it was the end of the story. I wish I could give this 3.75 stars. It wasn't

This was a very thought provoking book. Mameh, Wright's lover, was a woman struggling with her identity as a woman, mother, wife and her place in society. It was eye-opening to see the struggle of a woman during this time period.
