I loved this book! It has interesting historical elements but is essentially a love story. I don't care for "romance" novels per se and this book strikes the perfect balance: it has the love story theme at its heart but isn't the least bit sappy. It's the story of two adults who have waited to meet "the one", weren't willing to settle for less, and then reap the rewards of their patience.
