Oh, Jodi Piccoult, you do write interesting books about controversial topics. I would have liked this one better, but I was never surprised at how things happened or how things ended. I figured out who was innocent and who evil pretty early on, and that kind of made this boring. I do think it a worthwhile read, although there is some similarities to other books out there (The Green Mile and The Chamber)

I finally finished this book...I'm just one of those, "..have to finish this because I've started it, and I want to believe it might get better soon," people. My first impressions remained the same to the end, however. This was not, IMHO, one of Jodi's best books. It was too long, too contrived and too boring for me. She tied up her loose ends, but somehow it all didn't really make a nice bow in the end. Would I recommend it to you, my friends? Not really. I'd say read another of her books inste

Not my favorite Jodi Picoult book, but still one that I had a hard time putting down. I had a hard time getting through the extensive religious information, but realize it was an important piece of the story. I was also a little disappointed with how the book ended. I also agree with my friend Tammy who thought June's character wasn't developed enough. I would have liked to hear more from her. Still a good read and definately a good book club choice that will incite excellent discussion!
