For the longest time, I was very skeptical about reading the book. I felt that the cover description gave the book a poor impression. But now I love this book. It's become one of my favorite books in my collection.

My FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFavourite book.Its a type of book of which you never get bored about.Its about a farmboy(Eragon) who finds a unique stone in a forest which actually turns out to be a Dragon egg teleported by a carrier Elf before she gets captured by a Shade and this brings a new turn in Eragon's life as he becomes dragon rider and he has to kill Galbatroix who as an evil king who has a dragon himself and is the most evil person on the face of Eart.

Got this for my birthday didn't expect this to be such a great book I have been sucked into the Eragon books.
Allot of action kind of Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter kind of book the movie SUCKED don't watch the movie before you read this the movie will turn you off to wanting to pick up the book.
My favorite Chapters are 18,29,34,35,40,and 58.
The CDs are great I really like the guy that reads the eragon books he is right up there with Jim Dale. ...more

A great adventure about a boy and his dragon. A long journey full of love and friendship. You will enjo it.
I like this book, I like Murtaugh, and if I had to pick a dragon, he would be rainbowish. I would name him Fate.
Loved it! Eldest is good too... Wonder what the last one is called... No more elaboration.
Fantastic book, you must NEVER EVER EVER see the movie.
