I absolutely loved this book and could not put it down. I read it in a day and a half. I just love Edward!!!
Stephenie Meyer did an amazing job with the characters I found them all very likable and believable. I found the relationship very touching between Edward and Bella, and can even let Bella's paranoia of Edward leaving go due to the fact that she's only supposed to be 17 years old. :0)
I can't wait to get my hands on the next book "New Moon" it's been so long since I've had my hands on a rea

Loved, loved, loved it! Was one of the best books I'd read in a while, and also was excellent writing and story for a teen book. Very convincing, realistic storyline and characters. Loved the love story between Bella & Edward.... everyone should be so lucky! One of my favorite books of all time. Quite possibly the best and most potent vampire love story since Buffy & Angel. A really sweet tale of the transforming power of love. ...more

I finally gave in and bought this book. Yes, you heard it. I bought it! I haven't bought a novel in years! My only excuse was that I can pass on the series to my 3 teenage nieces. That and I can't pass up a vampire story even if it's in a highschool. Six chapters in and so far, so fun!

Oh this book... even though it is written from the point of view of a swooning teenager (which I have vowed to never do... ever) it has captivated me and all my senses. Everything that Bella feels, I feel. I feel her joy, her misery and her irrevocable love for Edward. I think that's what hooks us. Once I started reading Twilight, 11pm on a Thursday evening, I couldn't put it down. I was up till 6am reading, unintentionally hooked to every word. Every time I thought I could put the book down and ...more

This was one of the best & most engaging books i've read. I couldn't put it down, I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. Well written.
Accident prone trouble magnet Bella moves to a seeminly quiet country town to live with her father after her mother remarries. She doesn't have as much trouble fitting in Forks as she expected, with the exception of one family - the Culllens, who avoid her like the plague or don't acknowledge that she exists which frustrates her. The town of Forks is fair

I liked this book as a light read. It seemed like it was more of a young adult book but it was enjoyable nontheless. I love Vampire books:)

After reading the rest of the books, I felt like I needed to revisit this review. The first book truly was not a well "written" book. And by that I mean this author wasn't getting subtlety and nuance. By the time I finished the first book, I felt like ok, I'm interested in the story line, so I'm going to give her another chance... and that's when she started

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book when I first started but as I kept reading it, I couldn't stop. Granted, you have to get past the background details which take up a great deal of the story, but once you get past it, its really captures your attention. Once I really got into it, I had a hard time putting the book down. But to be truthful, I think this book is very similar to Harry Potter except in this case there are vampires rather then witches.

None the less, I would recommend th

this book even though was under young adult section I liked it very much...
Maybe it is just me, but it reminded me very much of Roswell..either the roswell high young adult book series or the TV show that was made based on it.

group of supernatural teens in highschool "siblings"
one is in love saves the girl from dying...turmoil and Love grows...

this time with vampires instead of aliens!

Didn't like this book. Thought it wasn't that well written and honestly the plot line is $h!t. I know most people liked it so if you want to read it then knock yourselves out but just so you know if you tell me it was a waste of your time I'll just say I told you so. ...more

My favorite book of all time. It's spectacular. Meyer is an amazing writer and catches the 800 year old vampires tone perfectly while writing from a seventeen year old girls point of view. ...more

A light read. Excellent at getting in the mind of Bella. Not enough action I thought. But a nice setup to continue the story in the next book
