[close] I wrote this novel when I became discouraged with the de-fanging, dumbing-down and humanizing of the vampires in a lot of fiction today. I like my vampires dangerous. 4.5. Great story!

This would be a 5 star book except for some sloppy editing. There were quite a few letters left off the end of words. Besides that it was ok but that alone killed it forme because of where they were at. I just really was surprised because of how good this book was and seemed well edited besides all those missing letters!
To get back to the review. I loved this story! Really it was very exciting, fast paced, and never boring or slow. It is well written well except for the above p 4.5. Great story!

To get back to the review. I loved this story! Really it was very exciting, fast paced, and never boring or slow. It is well written well except for the above problems that is. I really like vampire books where someone is turned and they have to figure it all out on their own. For some reason this fascinates me. The story though was good and I don't think I have read one quite like this as far as the maker playing games to see how they fare. I really liked the romance part whee they knew they were not good for each other and how his girlfriend reacted was good followed it. One thing I really liked about how this was written was it was very, I wan tot say involved but that's not really the right word and it's late lol but this could have been a splendid book but I'm so glad it wasn't! There was a lot happening all around and that made it slouch richer ( you can tell I'm NOT a writer! Lol) and I do have a hard time in trying to say things as word elude me especially when I'm tired ( I have fibromyalgia and we call this brain fog or fibro brain lol) so excuse my rather crappy review but I think if you like vamp books with a bit of romance, but not the over the top kind nor too much and too often of the vamp sex scenes, I think you will love this book. I can't stand it when the sex scenes go on forever and happen every chapter!. This is an actual story and it's a good one. I plan on reading the next one in this series but nothing is left hanging here and you could not read on and be ok with it. This could be a stand alone book if you don't like series. I am curious enough to want to know here it will go from here though. She really does pretty tie everything up at the end though, but leaves enough questions about outside things for more to be added to this story or even about other people in this book. ...more
