I really enjoyed this book, what a great detailed story. The amount of history, woven in with details of countries, cultures and historical sites is amazing. I enjoyed every page of this novel. The characters where completely believable and likable. I felt like I was right there with them on their journey. There where several times where I was so engrossed in the book that my phone rang and I jumped out of my skin. :op

This book was good but it dragged on and on in each person's description from their point of view. The letters become tedious and boring after a while. The subject matter is great just bouncing from country to country from one person to the next is very old after the third or fourth chapter. ...more

I loved this book! I thought it was well written and well researched. I loved learning about the different histories of places during the time of Vlad the Impaler and the mystery this novel produced.
