I went into this book thinking it would be a fun remastering of the classic tale of Sleepy Hollow. I was not prepared for the emotional roller-coaster ride it took me on. This was a hauntingly, heartbreaking love story. I could hardly read the last few sentences because of all the tears. Jessica Verday has created a magical world with amazing characters. Her writing style is so vivid in detail that it just sucks you in, here's some of my favorite lines:

"His hair was the first thing I noticed. Th

Quick read with a twist in the ending. Love stuff was pretty clean. A bit of teenage cussing, but otherwise a good insight to a teen who has lost a peer and the grief process. Bummed that the next book won't be out for a year. ...more

I read this book when it first came out and loved it. The characters really came to life and it was a hard book for me to put down. I would recommend it to anyone who likes YA books.

This book was a little disappointing for me. I thought it would be more on the paranormal YA side, but instead it could have been pretty much just YA. There was nothing paranormal about it until the end of the book. The only reason I read it all the way through is because I was waiting for the climax of the story...of course for me that wasn't until the end of the story. Overall this isn't a terrible book, just more plain YA than paranormal YA. If there is a sequel to this book I will probably r ...more

I loved this book. From the beginning to the end it made you want to read it all the way through.
I learned that you can find love in any shape or form or even in a ghost or spirit. Just amazing.

I wanted to update as I have read it again and got to thinking that, if its a book you can read over and still feel the same way you did from the last time you read it, then its a great book.

I finally finished. I was disappointed. It took so long to actually go somewhere and get to some type of point to the story. With about 20 pages left into the book, it comes together, some what. Then to leave you hanging.. The overall story was okay, but it just dragged on for me.
