Okay, without going into the whole plot thing, I just have to say this book was two things: Surprising and exciting.
I was surprised because it wasn't like any other young adult book I had ever read and exciting because it was full of fast-paced action, and by action I mean fight scenes. Lots and lots of fight scenes.

It sucked me in right away. There is never a dull moment. I was happy to find out it is a series. I find myself daydreaming about the characters - especially Katniss. I love these books with young woman who think they are ordinary and end up extraordinary.

What an intriguing book. Captivating, engaging, suspensful.. and teaching you something about yourself at the same time. Loved this book.. couldn't say better things about it. I recommend it to anyone.

Going to buy the second book this weekend. Very excited, but don't want to read it too fast, in fear that I won't handle the wait, until the 3rd book comes out, well.
