This epic and thought provoking masterpiece by author by L.A. Wild is a deliberate distortion of reality told in the main character Summer Keese's point of view. Rare is the book in the last half hour of reading it at the end, that it surprises you just as much as the beginning and in ways you can't imagine or expect.


The character Summer goes through a range of emotions and surrealism. it's like being witness to a character study of the psychosis of a troubled mind going through the variations

Summer thought her world had ended hen she discovered her identical twin had been murdered in Amsterdam. But that is only the beginning of her problems as she meets Black, a mysterious man of power and control, command and composure, decidedly delectable--and not human. He strives to protect her from the Freyr, a cult who need her allegiance to fulfill a prophecy as well as Marinus--a vampire who is not a vampire and who will do anything it takes to get what he wants. And he wants Summer.
