Author doesn't know when to stop, piling an unbelievable amount of angst and suffering on Jude St. Francis, her porn-star-named main character, and a similarly improbable excess of privilege, wealth and success on the other significant characters (Jude himself is a top level litigation attorney; and among his three friends from college who are devoted to him for life, Willem is a hot millionaire movie star; Malcolm an elite architect; and JB a top-level painter.)
