First, let me say that this is the nerdiest nerd book that ever nerded.
That isn’t a bad thing. In fact, it was the thing that kept me reading despite the fact that I found the protagonist pretty unlikeable and the writing full of pacing issues and unbelievable dialogue.

This was as garbage the second time around as the first. I gave it three stars initially because of I was part of a book club and wanted to try and keep my rating neutral. Not anymore.
But I disliked this book then and I dislike it now, even after a second reread. I picked it up to read along with my best friend and he felt the same way too. We had more fun talking trash about it than actually reading it, which is hilarious to me. And I genuinely went in hoping to find something redeeming.
