Liked it a lot. It did feel like it was a "getting to know you" story but it was still quite enjoyable.
Some of my favorite Vampire Academy characters returned which was awesome. Loved Adrian back in VA days and he is still just as lovable. Looking forward to getting more in depth with him in the coming books. Didn't love Sydney back in VA, thought she was dry and a tad boring but i'm starting to like her more now. However, she has nothing on my fave Rose.

Okay I just have to say that when I first heard that this spin-off series was coming I was like "No. Noway can it be as good as VA. It's a different POV and it's not Rose. No!" but then whilst shopping in WalMart I spotted it on the shelf. I picked it up and began to read a little bit. And well...I couldn't put it down. I BOUGHT IT! XDDD
