Another superb installment in this series, a series which is racing up along my list of favourites. The pacing of Weeks writing was perfect in this book. This book was roughly at the same level as book 1. I really did like it. The strengths were the same as in the first book. Great characters, a really good story and perfect pacing.
The weaknesses are roughly the same. The writing could be better and some of the characters (Liv and Kip) for example, are way too annoying.
But what really irked me this time, was, that he tries to explain the physics of drafting, luxin, coulors. And some things are just plain wrong. You could say "Well, it's fantasy. ...more

One of the best fantasy books i've read. Some people may hold something against Kip's school life or Gavin's badassness pointing that are clichés, and they could be right, but even the biggest clichés may become the most interesting subjects when well writen.
I could not recommend this book more, give it a chance and i dare you can stop reading before the end. ...more
