If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This book was very well written. I appreciate author's who take pride in giving detailed stories. The thoroughness of it all is not overwhelming and irrelevant. I absolutely appreciate authors who portray multiple strong characters in a story. This series is shaping out to rival the night angel trilogy. There is not quite as much action, but the magic system is intricate and, with no other word i can find to describe it, Wonderful. The way Brent explores the prism of colors and how they interact with the mind, body and soul and it makes for a very powerful character experience. One quick note, keep your mind prepared for chapter 76, it will be blown!

I'm not a big re-reader of books, but this one was better the second time around! I decided to revisit the series before reading the 4th, so onward to the 3rd now. I do enjoy this author's work and the pace at which the story moves.
